Date of next PTA meeting is
to be confirmed.
To try to do our bit to combat the growing problem with one-time use Halloween costumes, Friends of Finchale PTA and the Eco Council are teaming up to offer Finchale’s own Swap-Shop.
We may be a little late this year, but we hope this is a start and over the coming years, with your support, we go from strength to strength as this initiative builds…… maybe even to Christmas jumpers and other annual events.
So how can you help?
If you have any unwanted Halloween costumes please bring them in this week Monday 21st - Wednesday 23rd October, and drop them off at the Main Office.
We will sort them into age order and display them in the Hall during this weeks’ Parents Appointments. Please feel free to view these donated costumes, and take one FOR FREE for your child this year.
Unfortunately we don’t have the space to store these long-term, so after the event anything left over will either be kept for school dress-up boxes/class assemblies or donated to charity.
Therefore each year we will be opening the Swap-Shop up as fresh - but a little earlier in the term!
Thank you to the Reception Parent for suggesting this to us - as always, any suggestions for the PTA are always welcomed.
If you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to ask any member of the PTA team.
Thank You :) and Happy Halloween!
The Giving Machine is a website that donates funds to school and asks nothing in return!! It works by donating a percentage of any shopping done on line and covers over 400 retailers including; Tesco, Next, M&S and Argos.
Next time you’re online please log onto www.thegivingmachine.co.uk
and register an account selecting Finchale Primary as the beneficiary. Then when you do any online shopping, simple go to www.thegivingmachine.co.uk
first and select the website you want to shop from, they will then redirect you. By simply going to the website via The Giving Machine, they will donate a percentage of whatever you spend to school.
