Year 1 Our Local Area, University Outreach
Local author Adam Bushnell visited Y6. The class joined Adam in a discussion about WW2 and enjoyed looking at the many artifacts that he brought with him. They composed a paragraph of writing, which set the scene of the Blitz and created some gas mask artwork.
Y4 Captain Chemistry - Sound
Y3 Stone Age Day, University Outreach
We spent the day being archaeologists, with the help of the University Outreach program. We used the artefacts to find out what life was like in the Stone Age, the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. The we used the artefacts and skeleton to work out what job the person did, when they lived. Finally we had a go at making our own pinch pots.
