We are involved in organising lots of fun and interesting events for all of the Finchale Family, raising money to support our children on their journey. 

HOW TO GET INVOLVED....our new approach for 2025/2026

We are a small PTA team and have been for a few years, but now it is becoming unsustainable. It continuously falls on a small number of parent/carer volunteers and fulfilling the annual events and activities can be a big commitment.   So after much consideration, we now plan to allocate an event / activity to each year group to plan, organise and deliver as a group. PTA Event Helper Allocation 2025_2026

For each event, we have allocated a current PTA volunteer as a lead, as well as having the teacher support where needed. The plan is that the PTA Lead will support the year group undertaking the event / activity and guide when arranging the event / activity. The PTA will work on preparing information sheets to detail what is involved and what would need to be booked, purchased etc.   We will work together as best we can, but in reality, if the year group are unable to gather enough support to plan the event / activity, then it is very unlikely that this would go ahead.

CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISERS 2025

• Personalised LEGO brick keyring fundraiser - This is your chance to order your very own personalised LEGO brick keyring.   Each purchase gives £1 to the PTA.  Help us “build” funds for the school and return your orders to school by Friday 7^th November 2025.   

• Christmas Designs -This year, Friends of Finchale PTA will be working with Xmas4Schools again, to give you the opportunity to purchase your child’s Christmas artwork!  Children will start their designs in school, and given the opportunity to finish it, where required, over October half-term.  In addition to Christmas cards, gift tags, tea towels, mugs, calendars, snow blocks (snow domes, but rectangular!) and much more will be available.  More information, and prices, can be found here: www.xmas4schools.co.uk/products  All orders must be returned to the school office (with the correct money) no later than Tuesday 4 November 2025.

Year Round Fundraising

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising free donations for Finchale Primary School, with easyfundraising?  There are over 4,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation – including eBay, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, Booking.com and M&S – and it won’t cost you a penny extra to help us raise funds.

All you need to do is:
1. Go to Easyfundraising and join for free.

2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.

3. After you’ve checked out, the retailer will make a donation to Friends of Finchale, at no extra cost to you whatsoever!   There are no catches or hidden charges and we will be really grateful for your donations.
 

Our School is signed up to the ‘Your School Lottery’ weekly lottery draw. This has proved to be successful for us and enabled us to generate funds over the years. Tickets are £1 per week and each Saturday there is a prize draw for £25,000, with a guaranteed prize for someone at Finchale each week! Our PTA receive funds from every ticket sold and some winners have even kindly donated their winnings back to the PTA! You can join the lottery at any time, so if you’re interested please visit Your School Lottery and search for Finchale Primary School for more information and to take part.
