Year 3

Christmas Fun Run...

D&T: We practised our cutting and peeling skills, before making vegetable tart using seasonal winter vegetables

We have been learning about Diwali as part of our Hinduism topic. Aarav shared with us how he celebrated Diwali with his family. He even brought in yummy sweets for us to try.

We celebrated National Diabetes Day...

We took part in a Judo session...

We wore our Brownie, Beaver and Cub uniform as part of our Remembrance Day service.

We spent the day being archaeologists. We used the artefacts to find out what life was like in The Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. Then we had to use the artefacts and skeletons to decide what job the person did and when they lived. Finally we had a go at making our own pinch pots.

In Art, we recreated our own hand prints, just as they did in The Stone Age

In Art, we made our paint from materials found in the school grounds, just like they would have done during The Stone Age

We decorated angels to go on display at Ushaw College during their Christmas celebrations. They were inspired by hope, love and peace.

Well done to everyone who stood in our school council elections. Well done Darcey & Aarav on being elected.

We took part in a golf festival..,

We were inspired by Yayoi Kusama to create our own digital artwork using sketchpad...

Year 3 had great fun taking part in the Colour Run during Art Week
