Sport Premium

no School Sport Premium no

smileyOur plan for the spending of our allocation of School Sport Premium Money is shown below.
surpriseAny money invested into sport enhances the variety and quantity of opportunities given to our children. As a school, we are constantly encouraging a healthier lifestyle through ensuring PE is taught for 2 hours per week and after school sports clubs are made available.
laughWe ensure that specialist coaches are brought into school in order to provide coaching to the children at the highest level in each discipline. These sessions are monitored and feedback given on the provision.
sadTeaching staff work closely with coaches in order to improve their own practice. They observe lessons and use what they learn in other lessons to improve the quality of provision for the children.

Sainsbury's School Games Platinum Award

We are pleased to announce that we have received the Sainsburys School Games Platinum Mark Status for this year. Schools that apply for the Government led programme are assessed on their approach to participation in sport as well as developing competitive sports across the school and the community. Our first Platinum award was achieved due to our Active 30 initiative where we encourage children to be active at school for at least 30 minutes a day.
