We decided we needed a Police Station. In week two we looked at money. We all were given a job and paid for them. However, the government workers did not get paid. Making 3D models with Playdough!
European Day, we learnt a new French Song about our bodies.
In Science we have been learning about the nutrients we get from all the food groups and why we need these nutrients to stay healthy.
We learnt that we need carbohydrates as they give us energy. They give us energy as our bodies turn the carbohydrates into sugar which is then used as energy.
We did an experiment to test this. As homework we chewed a piece of white bread for 3 minutes, as bread is a carbohydrate. Most of us found that the bread started to taste like sugar in our mouths as our saliva was turning the carbohydrates into sugar.
Some of us even thought it tasted like Candy Floss!
We had a lot of fun learning about nutrients and conducting the experiment at home with our families!
Why don't you try it?
We took part in Hoopstarz and learnt alot of new tricks!
We looked at the timeline of the Stone Age to the Iron Age outside. We realised our topic covers 500,000 years!
In the first week of term we made name badges and pledged to follow the Finchale School Rules.
